Purpose:
Filtering device with hood for escape from fire ZEVS-U is intended for protection of respiratory apparatus, eyes and head of adults and children older than 12 from toxic combustion products including carbon monoxide other chemically hazardous substances and aerosols in the form of smoke, dust, mist generated because of fire.
ZEVS-U is a single use device which is used for self rescue of a person at evacuation during fires in hotels, residential and administrative buildings, hospitals, crowded buildings and other analogous objects.

ZEVS-U corresponds to the requirements of EN 403:2004 and referred to the class <Filtering device with hood for escape from fire ZEVS-U corresponds to the Main Safety Requirements according the Directive of European Union 89/686/EEC (Annex II) and the requirements of EN 403:2004 «Respiratory protective devices for self-rescue - Filtering devices with hood for escape from fire - Requirements, testing, markings, class «S».

Operating principle:
Inhaled air, contaminated by toxic combustion products is cleaned in combined filter and comes into respiratory apparatus of a user. Exhaled air through the exhale valve is taken out into the atmosphere.

Application conditions:
Filtering device with hood for escape from fire ZEVS-U refers to the filter type protective devices, It is used for protection against toxic combustion products when oxygen content in the ambient is not less than 17 % volume fractions and ambient temperature is from 0 to +60 °C, ZEVS-U maintains its protective properties even after 200 °C temperature influence during 1 min and short-term influence of an open flame with temperature 800±50 °C during 5 seconds.

ZEVS-U provides universal and effective protection within 30 min against:

• Toxic combustion products (carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen chloride, acrolein)
• Organic gases and vapours with boiling point above 65 °C (cyclohexane, chloropicrin, acetonitrile,)
• Inorganic gases and vapours (chlorine, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen sulfide)
• Acid gases and vapours (sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, anhydrous hydrogen fluoride,)
• Ammonia
• Nitrogen dioxide
• Specific hazardous chemical substances (cyanogen chloride, phosgene, acrolein, chloropicrin);
• Aerosols (dust, smoke, mist) including biological aerosols and radioactive dust

Content and structure :
Filtering device with hood for escape from fire ZEVS-U includes fireproof hood (1) with a visor (2), Inner mask (3) with an exhalation valve (4) and a combined filter (5) is hermetically connected with a hood. Hood is equipped with adjustable head harness (6) and neck obturator (7). ZEVS-U is hermetically packed into the package (8). It is supplied in a bag for storing (9). There are explanatory pictures with operating rules on the bag.

1. Study pictures and inscriptions on a bag of the filtering device for escape from fire, open a bag, take out a package with the filtering device for escape from fire.

2. Tear a leakproof package on a cut and arrows, take the filtering device for escape from fire. Throw out a bag and package.

3. Unfold a hood, stretch an elastic neck obturator, put on a hood, and press a half mask to face.

4. Tighten forward belts of head harness till a full touch of a half mask to face.

5. Breathe quietly, leave a dangerous zone.

6. In a safe zone weaken belts of head harness by pulling back for a puli-tab of buckles.
